A wonderful weekend~

It has been a while…maybe marriage life has been a little too good? Or perhaps knitting took over my life for a while and so I stopped blogging altogether! Anyways, I’m backkkkkkkkkkkkk! ๐Ÿ˜

Don’t R and I look so happy to be eating these delicious skewers? We are!!! It was a great day with amazing friends, and I actually got to use the swimming pool!!! Oowhoo!!! (Most of you may know that I’m allergic to sunblock which is one of the most annoying allergies to have…)

I made these s’mores bars for the bbq and it came out really yummy and of course- sweet! Found the recipe on Pinterest and just added extra hand-smashed graham crackers to the dough. Smashing! I really wanted to eat it all when it came out of the oven…but I need self-control!!!  Feel like we were advertising for Corona here haha awesome picture of us as we took a break from volleyball.

We played this awesome 4D (virtual reality) game at their place. R did pretty well with the zombie game and I? I, on the other hand, started screaming before the game even started!! Pretty darn realistic :X  Today we decided to go to Staten Island bright and early to beat the traffic. We brought our new Sony a6000 camera with us to test it out!

Walked on the boardwalk, gulfed down some cheeseburgers, took a bunch of pictures and we headed for some shopping before going to the birthday party. ๐Ÿ‘  I love love love these shoes!!! It was LOVE on first try! Had to buy them and wear it for the party hehee!! The bag was ordered from Gilt (very funky), and I love how it is handmade- every bead was sewed by hand!!!!๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ’“

This birthday party was beyond amazing! The mom threw the most impressive, detail-oriented party of all time. She had mini capes for all the children, disco dance party, and everything was labeled and so perfect! Usually R and I get a bit bored during kid parties but this one was epic! The party finished before we even had thoughts of leaving! That’s always a good sign, no?

When we finally made it home we decided to go on an hour long walk around the neighborhood wearing our hiking boots since we need to break them in. R cut up apples for us and we just went strolling around~ It was really nice and R checked to see if the boots really were waterproof! (We think they are…!) Anyhows, those were some of our adventures for this weekend and we ended the night with the final episode of GOT. (Mouth shut…) Good night!!!! ๐Ÿ˜

VogueKnitLiveย

Wow, a lot of time has passed since my last post! Things have been very busy at work, but my newfound love for knitting has been keeping me sane and so happy. Here’s a picture of my (new) hubby and the scarf I knitted up for him! ๐Ÿ™‚ Plus his new shoes for Christmas! ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜

Today Ray took me to the NYC VogueKnitLive which is a yarn/knitter’s idea of heaven. Vendors from all over the world gather for this convention and it is a sweet sweet place! My husband made sure to bring his headphones and extra phone batteries. ๐Ÿ‘

So many beautiful soft yarn to choose from!!!! I held on to my husband’s creditcard and did my damage!!!!

I always wanted to try giant needle knitting! My wish came true!!! ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜
My beautiful new collection of yarn plus big needles. I also won a free Lee Child audiobook ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜. Some of the yarn were $36 per skein ๐Ÿ˜ฑ๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜ญ but how could I say no?!?! I discovered many new favorite yarn companies today, and it was such an exciting day for me!!! I’m also excited about using my little yarnbowl! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ’•

I need to thank my wonderful husband for not complaining once and following me everywhere and holding all my bags. Plus thank you for not freaking out over the cost of yarn and being so understanding about my passion. I’m not sure I can be as nice as him when it comes to his hobbies….which is Crossfit and working out hahaa ๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜…

I missed the blogging world! โ›„๏ธ๐Ÿ˜

Kate Spade Mini Haul

Did I mention that we went to Woodbury Outlets after apple picking yesterday? We had to stay there for a long time due to traffic just to get out of the shopping center, but I did minimal damage in my standards. ๐Ÿ™‚

 My Kate Spade goodies!!

These sunglasses are actually not from the outlet store- I wish!!! I added it to my Kate Spade haul because I purchased it earlier this week! Love it! These are the sunglasses you see me wearing when I went apple picking!

My large wallet! Love the huge flat size of this!!!! It is amazing~ Color is a dark purple. Original price was $195 but everything at the store was 50% off and then an additional 20% off everything in the store. It ended up being $78 before tax, yay!

Cute makeup bag!! $60 for $24 before tax! ๐Ÿ™‚ I was good for the rest of the shopping trip.

Apple Picking Day!

Apple picking day at Barton. We went with R’s family and it was a nice place but let me warn you about the traffic and the lines…kind of ridiculous!!!!!! On a positive note, hayrides and lot’s of apple tastings! I brought my own knife to slice away~

My outfit is quite colorful today haha! Posing with the mini apple I picked!!! So tiny and cute! ๐Ÿ™‚

Attempting to pick this pumpkin up…

Yummy cinnamon doughnut!!! Went back for more but the line was way too long..boooo! ๐Ÿ˜ฆ

This is one of my favorite pictures! R’s friends came apple picking with their children. I stole their child and stole a kiss! ๐Ÿ™‚ Of course I had to lure her with Hello Kitty stickers!
  Our apple pole! Roar!!!
Slicing away!

I picked it up!!!!! ๐Ÿ™‚

I picked mostly Fuji apples! ๐Ÿ™‚

Hayride!!! Bouncy bouncy!

I love my raw honey~

Picked up some fudge: peanut butter, rocky road, and birthday cake!

Hot Dog was a no-no!

First time CF’er and Terminator Marathon

Today was bring your friend day at Ray’s Glendale Crossfit gym. He asked me if I wanted to go and I told him SUREEE! I actually did want to try it out, but I am quite out of shape compared to everyone at his gym. Today’s WOD was named “Jennifer” in honor of 26 year old service woman who died while responding to help a person in need. The workout was 26 minutes of 10 pullups, 15 kettlebell swings, and 20 boxjumps for as many rounds as we can. Honestly just the warmups made my legs feel like jello, but I was able to complete 7 rounds + 4 reps (scales of course since I’m a newbie). It would have been great to go home after that but nooooo R had to drag me to our regular gym…!!!

Not before we each got some smoothies!!!! ๐Ÿ™‚ It was so gooood!

Crazy R doing his crazy workout….that’s 70 lbs between his legs jeez!

Afterwards, went to a Korean restaurant BCD and stuffed myself with two bowls of rice and lot’s of food. Happy and smiley I went home to shower and nap for 3 hours hahaa ๐Ÿ™‚

I really can’t remember the last time I bought or made popcorn at home because I actually don’t like popcorn..but the only flavor I will eat is kettlecorn!!! Time for the third Terminator movie now and phones away! R is making us do a Terminator marathon because I haven’t seen any of them…just clips of the second movie…haha I’ll Be Back! Hasta La Vista, Baby.

Minion Pumpkin!

Today we painted our pumpkin yellow and tattooed a minion face on it, yay! (Sorry no pictures of my cute little kiddos so I had to cut them out) We had a fun day and we got to decorate the cupcakes I baked as well! They couldn’t wait to eat it all and all wanted seconds!! ๐Ÿ™‚

So cute! Added to our Halloween section of the classroom. ๐Ÿ™‚

Sprinkly Dinkly Cupcakes

Howdy do! Somebody made some yummy cupcakes tonight!!! (Not from scratch though…I used to only bake from scratch but it takes so much time!!!) I was pretty exhausted from my city outing, but I did it!!! I’m sad because two of my students will be moving to an ESL class ๐Ÿ˜ฆ I know it’s only October but my kids this year are awesome! They already feel like my kids and I realized I really missed teaching a 12:1:1 class. I promised  the kids I would bake cupcakes (no oven in school boooo) and we would decorate it together. It will be a small goodbye party and it makes me so sad! ๐Ÿ˜ฆ

Crafty Hands

Taking the 6:25am train to the city today for professional development. So weird not to be going to work and I miss my kids already! Also, I’m scared how crazy my room will look tomorrow haha ๐Ÿ™‚

Last night I had to make some jewelry orders so I got some of my tools out and went to work! ๐Ÿ™‚

I used gold-filled materials most of the time which is great for people with allergies and Swarovski materials which means $$$$$$ hahaa sometimes I wish I could open up a little jewelry/craft store!

Now I’m on the train typing up this mini-post and knitting away!! ๐Ÿ™‚ Cheers to a terrific Thursday!!! Today is supposed to be sunny and warm in NYC so I’m looking forward to the nice weather!
