Food? Food…fooooood!!!!

Ever since Ray asked me (nicely) to cook something new…..I’ve been on a Pinterest roll!!! Cheddar broccoli tots, siracha honey chicken, etcetc~ 😁 Ray’s a creative chef naturally so he doesn’t need the help of the internet (lucky guy!) Here’s what he made last night for dinner. A baked potato steak bowl with homemade salsa, quinoa chips and all the other yummy goods that come in a “salad bowl.”
I am attempting to bake my first pernil (Puerto Rican pork) and here is the raw version- yummy!!! 😁😁😁
Here it is after being flipped back and forth in the oven for 4 hours! It is amazing and juicy and tender and awesome and I love it!!!!!! It was a success!! πŸ˜πŸ‘πŸ˜

Apple Picking Day!

Apple picking day at Barton. We went with R’s family and it was a nice place but let me warn you about the traffic and the lines…kind of ridiculous!!!!!! On a positive note, hayrides and lot’s of apple tastings! I brought my own knife to slice away~

My outfit is quite colorful today haha! Posing with the mini apple I picked!!! So tiny and cute! πŸ™‚

Skinfood Mini Haul Review

Hello Skinfood/K-beauty lovers! I went to the Skinfood store the other day to pick up a gift and of course I just had to walk out with a few things for myself. *BIG SIGH*

First product is the Quinoa Rich Body Milk lotion. Description: A rich body milk with quinoa extract that creates a creamy layer to give dry skin a softer, smoother texture. Quinoa, the Supergrain from the Inca Empire, is enriched with proteins, starch and minerals.

I love the light scent and it’s a nice big bottle to use. It’s not heavy but definitely helps the dry patches. Love that it’s not sticky oowhooo!!

Second product is the Lychee Essence Mist in a spray bottle for your hair. Description: A hair serum mist that contains lychee extract, and transforms damaged hair into a silky smooth texture. Shake well before use. Evenly spray an adequate amount on the entire hair.

Lovely product! I love looking for products for my hair because it’s so dry, frizzy, and damaged. I have a bunch of oils for the hair but I’m lazy when it comes to applying it on my hair because I don’t want my hands to be oily… This product is awesome because I just need to spray spray spray regardless of whether my hair is wet or dry.  My hair is usually in knots and unmanageable, but this product definitely helps my tangles and frizzes!!! Plus it smells nice. πŸ™‚

Love my new purchases!!

Sprinkly Dinkly Cupcakes

Howdy do! Somebody made some yummy cupcakes tonight!!! (Not from scratch though…I used to only bake from scratch but it takes so much time!!!) I was pretty exhausted from my city outing, but I did it!!! I’m sad because two of my students will be moving to an ESL class 😦 I know it’s only October but my kids this year are awesome! They already feel like my kids and I realized I really missed teaching a 12:1:1 class. I promised  the kids I would bake cupcakes (no oven in school boooo) and we would decorate it together. It will be a small goodbye party and it makes me so sad! 😦

Weekend Hauls

Halloween goodies for my classroom from Party City. Despicable Me pumpkin tattoos! Can’t wait to do this with my class! Have to paint our mini pumpkin yellow tomorrow first! πŸ™‚ I got two cute headbands to alternate and wear everyday in October. I wore my spider one and the boys in my class loved it! πŸ™‚ Got some tattoos as well – this year they won’t lose it like they do with their stickers.

Ray got a Captain America costume! He already has the t-shirt so he picked up some props. The socks are not pictured but they are over the knee socks with mini capes on the back. It is so cute! πŸ™‚

Went to Ulta and get a mini, but expensive makeup haul. I love my Anastasia eyebrow pencil, but it runs out so quickly so I decided to try out their powder so I got the Caramel color and picked up an eyebrow brush as well. Picked up a Stila primer that is so cool!!! More about it later!! πŸ™‚ Also, picked up a new mascara and I did try it out & it’s pretty awesome!!!

Fall Weekend~

IMG_0990-0

Hello Fall! It’s been a crazy last couple of weeks. Settling into the new job and dad having a heart attack. All is well now and yes life has its ups and downs, but it all seems to balance out. R and I had an eventful weekend with family and friends. Love this shot he got of me during our outing. We were in LIC and walking by the water. You can see R’s fashion style now: my favorite Chloe bag and the Burberry trench coat R gifted me for Christmas last year. He has better fashion sense than I do! πŸ™‚

You can see the wind blowing like crazy, but the front view of my trenchcoat. LOVE IT! πŸ™‚

Date with friends in L.I.

On our way early in the morning to watch Mazerunner 2 in theaters with our friends. Saw the first movie last night so we would know the plot before watching this movie-I have to say the second movie was so much better!!! πŸ™‚

Ate some yummy good food at The Good Life!! πŸ™‚ So much for eating healthy…not to mention I ate a bag of Twix and a box of nachos and cheese all by myself without Ray’s help at the theater…

Went to the mall afterwords and I love all the cute things the Disney store has!!!

Eyed these awesome Kate Spade sunglasses! Did I get it or not? If I did get it which color did I get? Hmmm…. πŸ™‚

Inside a princess castle!!

Enjoying the massage chair at Brookstone…mmmm so relaxing!

R is the sweetest bestest man! He got me a $100 Lush giftcard because he knows I love the store! I bought to my heart’s content today…will reveal my Lush haul soon! πŸ™‚

Tonight’s Quick Meal!

IMG_0529

I don’t know what type of cuisine it is that I make…I usually go food shopping – get the veggies and the protein and just throw it all together. πŸ™‚ Today was a long day! Got to work at 7am, tutored right after work, went grocery shopping, and began my cooking. R and I do enjoy homecooked meals, and we probably eat in more than other people due to this. Love when R cooks, but he’s been so busy with work lately and not feeling so well. 😦 Just made some steamed eggs with scallions, beef with mushrooms and onions, seaweed soup, baked codfish with cabbage, braised tofu, string beans, and bok choy for dinner.
